Primary Goal: Promotion and preservation of Tulu culture, language, script, and traditions.
About the Unit:
Jai Tulunad (R.) Kudla Unit is a regional wing of the parent organization Jai Tulunad (R.), committed to the cultural, social, and linguistic upliftment of the Tulu Nadu region, especially in and around Kudla (Mangaluru). The unit plays an active role in grassroots mobilization and awareness initiatives to reinforce the unique identity of Tulunad.
Formation:
The Kudla Unit was officially formed on 23rd February 2020 at Mannagudde Government Higher Primary School. Since its inception, the unit has consistently worked towards connecting the community through meaningful cultural and social initiatives.
Notable Activities:
* The "Nettherumboli" Blood Donation Camp was held on 6th July 2025 at Konchadi Vidya Higher Primary School in collaboration with SAKSHAMA Dakshina Kannada Unit, Seva Bharathi Kudla, and Wenlock Hospital, Mangaluru
* A Environment awareness program titled “Bale Dai Nadka” was conducted in Bajpe with participation from local health centers and temple committees

Jai Tulunad (R.) – Bantwal Unit Formed
The cultural heart of Bantwal witnessed a historic moment on August 17, 2025, with the inauguration of the Bantwal Unit of Jai Tulunad (R.) at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Bhavan.
The programme was graced by several distinguished guests from social, cultural, and artistic fields and also featured vibrant cultural performances showcasing Tulu heritage.
With this formation, the Bantwal Unit begins its journey to uphold and spread the rich traditions of Tulunad.

Formation of Jai Tulunad (R.) Udupi Unit

Venue: Sri Narayana Guru Auditorium, Bannanje, Udupi
The Jai Tulunad (R.) Udupi Unit was officially inaugurated on 03 November 2024 at the Sri Narayana Guru Auditorium, Bannanje, Udupi. This event marked a significant milestone in the organization’s ongoing efforts to preserve and promote the Tulu language, script, and culture across the coastal region.
On this occasion, Ms. Sushila Jayakar Kodavoor was appointed as the President of the newly formed Udupi Unit. The announcement of other office bearers was also made during the ceremony. The formation day brought together distinguished guests, cultural leaders, and community members in a unified commitment to advance the mission and vision of Jai Tulunad (R.).
