Annual General Meeting of Jai Tulunad (R.) Odipu Unit Held Successfully

The Annual General Meeting of Jai Tulunad (R.), Odipu Unit was held on January 4, 2026, at Hindi Prachara Bhavana, Odipu. The program began on a traditional note with the offering of flowers to Tulu Appe, followed by a collective prayer. Treasurer Supriya Akhilesh Devadiga Bailoor presented the annual report, highlighting the activities and achievements of the past year. Members, including Swathi Kodavoor (Vice Treasurer), Sangeetha Karkera Manipal (Executive Member), Veerendra Shetty (Organising Secretary), Prashanth Kunjoor (Vice Organising Secretary), Shivaprasad Devadiga Manipal (Executive Member), and President Susheela Jayakar Kodavoor, shared their experiences and spoke about the significance of Tulu culture and its preservation. On this occasion, Prashanth Kunjoor was felicitated for his valuable contribution to the Tuluver Kaalakonde 2025–26, which he designed in the Tulu script. The program was efficiently compered by Vice Secretary Supreetha Puthran Malpe.
The election of the new committee was conducted under the supervision of one of the Founder Members of Jai Tulunad (R.) Sharath Kodavoor, following which the responsibilities were formally handed over to the newly elected team.
The newly elected office bearers are:

• Secretary: Prajnashree M., Kodavoor
• Vice Secretary: Aishwarya Shetty, Innanje
• Organising Secretary: Supriya Akhilesh Devadiga, Bailoor
• Vice Organising Secretary: Shivaprasad Devadiga, Manipal
• Treasurer: Ambika Rao, Kannarpady
• Vice Treasurer: Dr. Nithish S. A., Korangrapady
Newly elected President Santhosh N. S. Katapady, Secretary Prajnashree M. Kodavoor, and Vice Treasurer Dr Nithish S. A. Korangrapady addressed the gathering and sought the continued support and cooperation of all members for the organisation’s future initiatives.
The meeting was attended by unit members, including Ramesh Devadiga, Shekar Kotian, Sandhya Devadiga, Panchami Devadiga, and Lavanya Kadekar.
The event concluded on a positive note, reinforcing Jai Tulunad's commitment to promoting and preserving the Tulu script, language and culture.
