The Jai Tulunad R. Odipu Unit organised the “Bale Tulu Lipit Pudar Bareka” program at Mahathobhara Shree Siddhi Vinayaka Temple, Udyavara, Udupi, on 21 February 2026 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The event was held to raise awareness of the Tulu script among the general public and to encourage its preservation. Tulu script teachers included Santhosh N. S. Katpady, President, Prajnashree M. Kodavoor, Secretary, and Shilpa Kanchan Kodavoor, Tulu Script Committee In-Charge. Their sessions guided participants in learning the script and highlighted its cultural importance. The program also witnessed the presence of Supriya Akhilesh Devadiga Bailoor, Organising Secretary, and Aishwarya Shetty Innanje, Vice Secretary, who extended their support to the initiative.

As part of every Bale Tulu Lipit Pudar Bareka event, Tulu flags of various sizes, Tulu script charts, and Tulu books were displayed and made available for sale, giving attendees an opportunity to take home resources that strengthen their connection to the language and culture.
