Expanding Tulu Lipi Awareness Drive at Indrali

Jai Tulunad (R.) Odipu Unit conducted the “Bale Tulu Lipit Pudar Bareka” program on 5 April 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Indrani Shree Panchadurgaparameshwari Temple, Indrali, Udupi. The program aimed to promote awareness of the Tulu script and encourage the public to learn to read and write in Tulu, contributing to the preservation of the language and its cultural identity. The “Bale Tulu Lipit Pudar Bareka” initiative encourages people to learn to write their names in Tulu script, thereby fostering interest in the language and strengthening their connection to Tulu culture. Participants actively engaged in the activity and showed enthusiasm for learning the script. The session was led by Tulu script teachers Aishwarya Shetty Innanje, Vice Secretary; Pragathi S. Manipal, Executive Committee Member; and Sharath Raj Kudla, Secretary of Jai Tulunad (R.), Kudla Unit, who guided the participants effectively. Other members present included Nagaraj Shettigar Indrali, Vice Treasurer of Jai Tulunad (R.) Central Committee, and Manish Kumar, Member of Kudla Unit, who extended their support for the smooth conduct of the program.
