Kinnigoli: Under the auspices of the Guttakadu Sri Mookambika Temple, in collaboration with the Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy and Jai Tulunadu (Regd.) organization, a Tulu script learning workshop was held. 

Vishushreekera, Vice President of the Jai Tulunadu organization, spoke about the rich tradition, culture, and ancient history of the Tulu people, noting that while the Tulu language was neglected over time, it is now gaining well-deserved recognition. He emphasized that the Tulu language should become a state language and that everyone should unite and fight for it, with people learning the script in every household.

Presiding over the event, Vivekananda, Dharmadarshi (Trustee) of the Guttakadu Sri Mookambika Temple, stated that the efforts of the Jai Tulunadu organization for Tulu are commendable. The role of the Tulu people in preserving the language is crucial. He added that true recognition is achieved when those who learn the script also teach it to others.

Chandrashekar, President of the Mookambika Seva Samiti; Avinash Mukka, General Secretary of the Jai Tulunad organization; Chitra Shetty Talipadi Guttu, President of the Mookambika Mahila Mandala; along with script teacher Kiran Tuluve and Dikshitha, were present on the occasion. Script teacher Kiran Tuluve inaugurated the workshop by writing the Tulu script. Mrs. Geetha Lakshmish compered the program. Around 30 children participated to learn the Tulu script.
