Jai Tulunad Odipu Unit Promotes Tulu Script Learning Through ‘Bale Tulu Lipit Pudar Bareka’

UDUPI, October 11, 2026: Jai Tulunad (R.) Odipu Unit organised the ‘Bale Tulu Lipit Pudar Bareka’ programme at Shree Mookambika Mandira, Police Lane, Udupi, from 1:00 PM to 4:20 PM to promote awareness and learning of Tulu Lipi.

The initiative encouraged participants to write their names in the traditional Tulu script and inspired them to explore the language and its cultural heritage.

The session was guided by Tulu script teachers Santhosh N. S. Katpady, President of the Odipu Unit; Sharath Kodavoor, founder member of Jai Tulunad (R.) and Vice President of the Bengaluru Unit; Aishwarya Shetty Innanje, Vice Secretary; Pragathi S. Manipal, Sub-Incharge of the Tulu Script Committee; and Bharathi Jayakar, Tulu script teacher and Odipu Unit member.

The enthusiastic participation highlighted growing community interest in learning Tulu Lipi. The programme reaffirmed Jai Tulunad (R.) Odipu Unit’s commitment to preserving and promoting the Tulu language, script and cultural heritage.
