In a bid to preserve and promote the rich cultural traditions of Tulunadu, Jai Tulunad (R.) Kasrod unit will be organising a special event titled "Marapandi Aati" on July 27, 2025.

The programme will be held at Billava Seva Sangha Hall, Kasrod, starting at 9 AM. The event will be formally inaugurated by Mr. Raghu K. Meepuguri, President of Billava Seva Sangha (R.), Kasrod.

The cultural evening will feature Tulu speeches, Paddana recital, and the traditional Marapandi game. Winners of the competitions will be honoured with special prizes.

Prominent guests including Mr. Uday Poonja Taripadiguttu, Organising Secretary of Jai Tulunad (R.) Central Committee, and Mr. Vasu Bayar, senior Yakshagana artist, will participate in the event.

The local organising team led by President Kushalakshi Kanvatheertha and Secretary Harikanta Kasrod is working diligently to ensure the success of the programme.

Speaking about the event, the organisers said,

"This initiative aims to revive and carry forward the cultural heritage, art forms, and traditional games of Tulunadu to the younger generations."
