In a significant step forward for the Tulu language, the Sri Kshetra Kemar Sandipani Sadhanashrama recently witnessed the launch of 'Tele Baravu', a new software application designed to make typing and writing in the traditional Tulu script easier than ever before.

Sri Sri Esha Vittaldasa Swamiji of the Kemar ashram officially unveiled the software, which was organized under the leadership of the Jai Tulunad (R.) organization.

Addressing Long-Standing Challenges:
During his benedictory address, Swamiji expressed deep concern that Tulu has not yet been included in the Eighth Schedule of the Indian Constitution, criticizing politicians for making empty promises. Emphasizing cultural unity, he urged people worldwide to prioritize Tulu culture above caste divisions and to keep their heritage alive no matter where they travel.

How 'Tele Baravu' Works
Because the Tulu script still lacks official Unicode support, the Jai Tulunad (R.) organization previously redesigned alternative English fonts to type Tulu characters. To simplify this process for the general public, developer Jnanesh Deralakatte created the 'Tele Baravu' application integrated within Telegram.

Effortless Conversion: Users simply type text using standard Kannada letters, and the software automatically converts them into authentic Tulu script characters.

Transparent Formats: The converted text is generated as a transparent PNG image, making it exceptionally convenient for photo editing and digital sharing.

During the event, software creator Jnanesh Deralakatte was felicitated for his innovation, while Sumanth Hebri briefed the audience on the technical features and usage of the app.
