One-Day Tulu Script Workshop ‘Bale Tulu Lipit Pudar Bareka’ Held at Mundaje

Mundaje, September 6, 2026: A one-day Tulu Script workshop titled “Bale Tulu Lipit Pudar Bareka” was conducted by Jai Tulunad (R.) as part of the “Ashtemi” event organised by Sri Durga Parameshwari Temple, Sharada Nagara, Mundaje, Beltangady (Bolther).

The workshop was held on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM, with the objective of creating awareness about the Tulu script and encouraging participants to learn and use the traditional script.

The workshop was attended by several office-bearers, members and Tulu Script teachers associated with Jai Tulunad (R.) and other Tulu organisations.

The participants included Rajashree Chandrashekhar, President of Jai Tulunad (R.) Kudla Unit and Tulu Script Teacher; Uday Poonja Tharipadigutthu, Farmer President, Jai Tulunad (R.), Founder Member and Tulu Script Teacher; Kiran Tuluve, Founder Member, Jai Tulunad (R.) and Tulu Script Teacher; Chandra Tuluve, Central Executive Committee Member; and Sharathraj Alankar, Secretary, Kudla Unit and Tulu Script Teacher.

Also present were Poornima Bantwala, President of Lelelega and Tulu Script Teacher; Kishor Poojary Mundli, President, Bantwala Unit; Prathik Tuluve, Vice President, Bantwala Unit and Tulu Script Teacher; Thrishali Navoora, Joint Organising Secretary and Tulu Script Teacher; Manjunatha Madhwa, Bantwala Unit Executive Committee Member; and Dheeraj Bantwala, Bantwala Unit Executive Committee Member.

The programme highlighted the importance of preserving and promoting the Tulu language and Tulu script among the younger generation and the wider Tulu-speaking community.
