Mira Bhayandar, Mumbai September 5, 2026: A one-day Tulu script workshop titled “Bale Tulu Lipit Pudar Bareka” was conducted by Jai Tulunad (R.) Mumbai Zonal as part of the 14th Year Annual Day celebrations organised by Nama Javaner (R.).

The programme was held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Mewar Vatika, Mira Bhayandar.

The workshop focused on creating awareness about the Tulu script and encouraging participants to learn and practise writing in Tulu. The session was conducted by Tulu script teachers Surekha Naveen Shetty and DD Shetty Pejathimar.

Among those attending the workshop was Shilpa Santhosh Shetty, a member of Jai Tulunad (R.)

The workshop formed part of the annual celebrations and highlighted the importance of preserving and promoting the Tulu language and its traditional script among the Tulu-speaking community, particularly among younger generations.
