Pacchedaisiri Initiative Marks World Environment Day at Adiudupi by Jai Tulunad (R.) Odipu Unit

Jai Tulunad (R.) Odipu Unit organised an environmental awareness program titled “Pacchedaisiri”, meaning “Let Green Grow”, on the occasion of World Environment Day, 7 June 2026, at Government Higher Primary School, Adiudupi, from 9:15 AM to 9:45 AM. The program carried the meaningful tagline “Enita Dai Yelleda Usulu,” highlighting the message that today’s planting ensures tomorrow’s breath and life.

The event was presided over by Santhosh N. S. Katpady, President of the Odipu Unit. The program was graced by chief guests Juniad Akthar, Forest Officer, Sub Area, Udupi; H. Devaraj Pana, B Forester, Udupi; and Ganesh Rao, Management Member of Adiudupi School. Nagaraj Shettigar Indrali, Vice Treasurer of Jai Tulunad (R.) Central Committee, was also present as a guest.

The program commenced with Prajna Shree Kodavoor, Secretary, who served as master of ceremony and welcomed the gathering. Santhosh N. S. Katpady addressed the audience, speaking about Jai Tulunad's activities and the significance of World Environment Day. As part of the initiative, the dignitaries planted saplings, symbolising a commitment towards a greener future.

H. Devaraj Pana spoke about how the Tulu people are closely connected to nature and highlighted the ecological traditions of Tulunadu. Ganesh Rao appreciated the initiative and praised Jai Tulunad for conducting such a meaningful program. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prajna Shree Kodavoor.

Members present from the Odipu Unit included Supriya Akhilesh Devadiga, Organising Secretary; Ambika Rao Kannarpady, Treasurer; Aishwarya Shetty Innanje, Vice Secretary; Prashanth Kunjoor, Social Media Incharge; Pragathi S. Manipal, Geetha Harish Palan Ambalpady, and Sanjeevini S. Moolya Kodangala, Executive Committee Members, along with Susheela Jayakar Kodavoor, Vice President of Jai Tulunad (R.) Central Committee, and other members of the Odipu Unit.
