BAILOOR, OCTOBER 10, 2024:
In a remarkable push to preserve and promote the native script of the region, a unique Tulu script writing workshop titled "Bale Tulu Lipit Pudar Bareka" (Come, Let's Write Names in Tulu Script) was successfully organized on Thursday at the Sri Mahishamardini Temple in Bailoor.

The event, held under the auspices of the Jai Tulunad (Regd.) association as part of World Tulu Script Day celebrations, witnessed enthusiastic participation from local youth and children who eagerly learned to write their names using the traditional Tulu script.

Key Highlights of the Event:

Community Engagement: A large number of youngsters and children turned up with great enthusiasm, showcasing a deep-rooted passion for learning and writing in their mother tongue's script.  

Appeals for Official Recognition: During the gathering, office-bearers of Jai Tulunad formally urged Pejawar Math seer Sri Vishwaprasannateertha Swamiji to install nameplates featuring the native Tulu script at the sacred Sri Rama Temple in Ayodhya.

Local Implementation Request: A similar appeal was formally made to incorporate Tulu script nameplates at the historic Sri Mahishamardini Temple in Bailoor.
