PUSH FOR TULU SCRIPT: MEMORANDUM SUBMITTED TO TULU SAHITYA ACADEMY
MANGALURU — In a significant step toward regional linguistic empowerment, members of the Jai Tulunad (R.) organization recently met with the Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy to advocate for the wider adoption of the Tulu script in schools and colleges.
Official Appeal: Representatives of Jai Tulunad formally submitted a memorandum to the Academy's President, Dayananda G. Kattalsar, requesting proactive measures to introduce the Tulu script into educational institutions.
Expanding Horizons: The proposal emphasizes making Tulu script education available across various schools and colleges to foster deeper cultural roots among the younger generation.
Academy's Response: President Dayananda G. Kattalsar received the appeal and interacted with the delegation, discussing prospective steps to support regional heritage and script propagation.
