Jai Tulunad (R.) Odipu Unit conducted the “Bale Tulu Lipit Pudar Bareka” program on 5 March 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Veerastambha Shree Durgaparameshwari Temple, Agrahara, Katpady. The program aimed to promote public awareness and learning of the Tulu script, encouraging people to connect with their language and cultural identity. Participants were guided to write their names in the Tulu script, generating enthusiasm and interest in learning the script. The session was led by Tulu script teachers Santhosh N. S. Katpady, President; Susheela Jayakar Kodavoor, Vice President of Jai Tulunad (R.) Central Committee; and Sharath Raj Alankar, Secretary of Jai Tulunad (R.), Kudla Unit. Other members present included Aishwarya Shetty Innanje, Vice Secretary, and Manish Kumar, a member of the Kudla Unit who actively supported the event. Along with the teaching program, Tulu flags of various sizes, Tulu script books, and Tulu script charts were made available for the public, receiving a positive response from participants and further promoting Tulu language awareness.
