Tulu Lipi Awareness Celebrated on Paggu at Kidiyoor
Jai Tulunad (R.) Odipu Unit conducted the “Bale Tulu Lipit Pudar Bareka” program on 30 April 2026, (Paggu 16 Popinani) from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Shree Vishnumurthy and Shree Vanadurga Temple, Kidiyoor, Udupi. The program aimed to promote awareness of the Tulu script and encourage the public to learn to read and write in Tulu, contributing to the preservation of the language and its cultural identity. The “Bale Tulu Lipit Pudar Bareka” initiative encourages people to learn to write their names in Tulu script, thereby fostering interest in the language and strengthening their connection to Tulu culture. Participants actively took part in the activity and showed enthusiasm for learning the script. Along with the program, Tuluvere Kaalakonde (Tulu calendar), Tulu script books, and Tulu flags were also made available, receiving a positive response from the public. The session was led by Tulu script teachers Santhosh N. S. Katpady, President, and Aishwarya Shetty Innanje, Vice Secretary, who guided participants effectively and contributed to the program's success.
