Tulu Lipi Awareness Initiative Engages Public at Malpe
Jai Tulunad (R.) Odipu Unit conducted the “Bale Tulu Lipit Pudar Bareka” program on 4 April 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Shree Vadabhandeshwara Temple, Malpe, Udupi. The program aimed to promote awareness of the Tulu script and encourage the public to learn to read and write in Tulu, contributing to the preservation of the language and its cultural identity. The “Bale Tulu Lipit Pudar Bareka” initiative encourages people to learn to write their names in Tulu script, thereby fostering interest in the language and strengthening their connection to Tulu culture. Participants actively took part in the activity and showed enthusiasm for learning the script. The session was led by Tulu script teacher Shilpa Keshav Kodavoor, Tulu Script In-Charge. Other members present included Aishwarya Shetty Innanje, Vice Secretary, along with Susheela Jayakar Kodavoor and Nagaraj Shettigar Indrali, Vice President and Vice Treasurer of Jai Tulunad (R.) Central Committee, who supported the smooth conduct of the program.
